I have cut hundreds of outlets into cabinets and it's not always fun. I used to have to use a jig saw but that caused too many problems. An oscillating tool is the best for the job. It's not great in the corners, so I drill 1/4" holes to make it easier. Take your time with the oscillating tool and make sure you have a sharp blade. This works great for islands or peninsulas in kitchens but also entertainment units, appliances garages and anywhere else you need a receptacle.
