Learn how to crochet a velvet top in this easy step-by-step crochet tutorial. This soft crochet crop top is made with super bulky velvet-style yarn, so it works up fast and is a great beginner-friendly wearable project.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to crochet a soft velvet crop top using Hobbii Honey Bunny yarn or another super bulky yarn. We start with a simple chain and work the main body of the top in single crochet rows. Then we make the shoulder straps, fold the top, attach the straps to the back and close the back seam.
To finish the top, I also show you how to make a simple chain drawstring and weave it through the center front to create the gathered look. This makes the top cute, soft and easy to adjust.
