In today's tutorial I am going to show you how to make the double treble crochet stitch. This is a very cool technique because it is the tallest stitch I use in my projects, which means you can finish your work much faster.
I will walk you through exactly where to put your hook and how many times to wrap the yarn so you don't get confused.
To start this stitch, you need to yarn over three times before you even put your hook into the chain. I will show you how to count your chains correctly so you start in the fifth chain from the hook, which gives the stitch the right height. We will practice pulling the yarn through the loops two at a time until the stitch is finished.
I also make sure to show you how to turn your work by chaining four so your edges stay nice and straight. If you want to learn how to make these very tall stitches for your blankets or scarves, follow along with me.
