Sally Van Nuys, Artist | HOW TO CREATE AN ART COLLAGE ON A BOOK COVER: Recycle Old Books into Art Collages & Save the Planet @SallyVanNuysMixedMediaArtist | Uploaded November 2019 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
Welcome Everyone!
Today, I want to show you how I created this vintage art collage. I built the collage on an old book cover that I covered with burlap linen. I used an antique cabinet card frame and a piece of vintage Baltimore newspaper, then on top of that I added some Tim Holtz paper dolls and ephemera. I repurposed a piece of old folding ruler and some antique lace, and an old key. This was so easy to create - I hope you will give it a try. Look at old things with new eyes and you might be surprised how much "stuff" you have to play with in your art space!
Some of the supplies I used today are listed in my Amazon Affiliate listings. I receive a small compensation if you order using my links. It really helps me replenish my supplies so I can continue producing free videos for you! It costs you nothing extra to order via my links. You can find all my most-used and best-loved supplies here:
