Crafting made simple - knitting and crochet kits for beginners
OVERVIEW
Crochet usually begins with a series of chain stitches called a foundation chain. In this video we will show you how to create a foundation chain.
STEP-BY-STEP
1) Now that you’ve got your slip knot, we’re going to hold the yarn in our left hand.
2) Move your hook underneath the yarn to create a yarn over.
3) Catch the yarn with the tip of the hook by rotating your hook face-down.
4) Draw the hook through the loop.
5) You’ve now made a chain stitch.
6) Repeat these steps to your desired length.
And that’s how you make a foundation chain in crochet!
