Learn how to craft a DIY graduation cap using Duck Tape® brand duct tape in this easy craft tutorial from DIY crafter and taper Simply Duck Designs. This grad cap was made using a glitter printed duct tape and a gold color theme, but with hundreds of colors and prints available, you can substitute these tapes with any style you choose.

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED
Graduation Cap
Craft Knife
Scissors
Ruler
INSTRUCTIONS
(00:33) First you will cover the top of graduation cap with black duct tape.
(01:01) Next you will flip over the cap and cut the corners to fold over the edges.
(01:27) Then clean up the underneath of the cap by laying down strips of duct tape.
(01:37) When covering the cap, make sure the button is not covered so you can still put the tassel on.
(01:42) Next you will cut off a piece of glitter tape that is the length of the grad cap.
(01:55) You will use your ruler and craft knife to make a line that is 1/8 in. Make sure you carefully cut out the strip and it is okay if you need to cut the strip a little wider.
(02:19) Then you will place the strip onto the cap and repeat this step until you have all 10 lines finished and placed.
(02:53) You're going to start to create the music notes by cutting off piece of gold glitter tape
(03:08) Then you will trace notes onto your wax paper. Tape the wax paper down to gold glitter tape to secure it so it's easier to cut.
(03:29) After that you will use your craft knife to cut out the music notes.
(03:38) Then you're going to peel the tape up to get your musical notes and stick them onto the cap.
(04:06) Finish the graduation cap by placing all the notes onto the cap.
