How to force close crashed or frozen apps

This is just a quick tip for closing GUI apps when they become unresponsive or fozen. The utility that is used is xkill which closes the unresponsive apps connection to the xserver which usually causes the app to halt and close. Xkill will also close app that are responsive so make sure that you actually want to force close an application before using xkill.

Envoking xkill then clicking on your desktop can have some weird results depending on your desktop environment so try not to do that.
