In this video, I show you the sequence for backflushing your Sage or Breville Barista Express. You have to do this, when the "Clean" light flashes at you. To prepare, just install the single basket, and the rubber disc. Add a cleaning tablet. Put the portafilter in the machine. Turn the machine off. Then, press and hold the 1 cup and 2 cup buttons, and the power button for 3 seconds. The machine will turn on and enter backflushing mode. It will fill the portafilter with some water, dissolve the tablet, and then exhaust the soapy brew through the solenoid back through the system. This process takes about 5 minutes.
