How to change a users name, email address or display name in a Microsoft office 365 account.
Occasionally you may need to change your user's name or email address. you can do this by changing their display name or their alias or their email address.
In this video, we will show you all three processes.

It might take up to 24 hours for this change to take effect across all services. After the change has taken effect, the person will have to sign in to Outlook, Microsoft teams, Skype for Business and SharePoint with their updated username.
Fix error messages
error 1: We're sorry, the user couldn't be edited. Review the user information and try again - it means you aren't a global admin and you don't have permission to change the user name.
error 2: A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name Email Addresses.
