Building an octagonal roof? Just follow these steps 🛠️
And for any other polygon, swap out 8 for the number of sides it has.
1️⃣ Push 8, CONV, and then RUN twice for the plan angle of the hip.
2️⃣ Push = then PITCH to set that angle.
3️⃣ Enter your span and push RISE.
4️⃣ Push DIAG for the run of the hip rafter.
The hip will have the same rise as the common rafters, so you can enter your rise and run, and push DIAG for the length of the hip rafter. #framing #carpentry #building
