When deciding to build the platform for my yurt, I looked at all my options, but most ideas tried to fit a round peg in a square hole. I ultimately went with the plans from Trillium Domes, which seemed to make the most sense. I love his designs and bought the plans, even though at first glance it looks complicated.
What I discovered, is that I was unfairly afraid of angle cuts. And after making one BIG mistake in my build, it was ultimately a great learning experience of building outside the box and ending up with a solid, and beautiful platform to raise my yurt.
Stay tuned for the next phase!
