Science, Technology & the Future | How To Build A Dyson Sphere in 5 Steps - George Dvorsky @scfu | Uploaded April 2020 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
The sun radiates a lot of energy - but only a tiny fraction makes it to earth - we could use copious amounts of energy to do great things, so why not build a dyson sphere? Too hard? Canadian futurist, science writer, and ethicist George Dvorsky lets us in on how to build a Dyson Sphere (actually a Dyson Swarm)- and it's not as difficult as you might think!

George Dvorsky has appeared many times on our show since 2012 discussing Journalism, Human Enhancement, The Singularity and the turing test, and how AlphaGo took the Go world by storm - he is a contributing editor at Gizomodo/io9, the Chairman of the Board at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies and is the program director for the Rights of Non-Human Persons program.
