Intelligent, well-informed people frequently disagree with one another. This fact presents all thoughtful persons with a deep problem: in the face of such widespread disagreement, how one can remain confident in one's opinions concerning important questions in philosophy, religion, science, and politics?

Topics covered:
* What is critical thinking and why do it?
* Thinking fast & slow
* & of course, dealing with disagreement

The aim is to engage in serious, structured, purposive, polite, and progressive discussion about such topics of disagreement with thinkers from different perspectives.

Engaging in frank discussion of issues that some people may consider confronting, upsetting, or deeply important to them, it's important that contributors are display the utmost respect for one another at all times, so that in an open discussion of all perspectives, minority, unpopular, and even perspectives some may find offensive can freely be discussed.

As of 2020, James Fodor, is a student at the Australian National University, in Canberra, Australia. James' studies at university have been rather diverse, and have at different times included history, politics, economics, philosophy, mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, and biology. Eventually he hopes to complete a PhD in the field of computational neuroscience.

James also have a deep interest in philosophy, history, and religion, which he periodically writes about on his blog, which is called The Godless Theist.
