Catoblepas is one of Bravely Default 2's "Four Fiends" for the Crystal shrines. Catoblepas likes to default a lot and attack 3 to 4 times in a row. This boss fight is a lot easier if you have high physical defense to alleviate Catoblepas's physical attacks.
I am doing this fight on the Hard Mode difficulty, so it might be easier for you than it looks here.

You can find Nightmare in the Savalon desert hiding to the south-east.
