This is the fourth video in a series of five, in which I show you how to create the squares, seam them up, add a backing, and add an edging to a flowery baby blanket.

This video shows you how to add fleece backing to your crochet blanket. You can use this method for any size of blanket, for crochet or knit blankets, including for Tunisian crochet blankets.
Adding fleece to the back of the blanket protects the delicate crochet work and shows off the lacy details in a blanket such as this one.
It also makes this blanket suitable for use in colder areas or colder months.
And the best part is that it protects the blanket from getting warped and distorted, if you tack it down to the backing using a few sewing stitches at each granny square corner.
