This video still applies in 2024, but the mindless "leadership" at YouTube took it upon their brilliant selves to eliminate the About tab on your YouTube Channel page! They now hide it in plain sight, which is infuriating because most people will overlook it. On any YouTube Channel page, the " Welcome! 〉" text link is the About tab replacement. Everything else in my video still applies. So why add an email address? I personally think it's important even if you have no videos of your own. Without it, you may miss out on Giveaways or be impossible to contact in emergencies. It's unfortunate YouTube doesn't force all accounts to display an email address, but at least you can remedy that by following this video. It's easy to delete too, if you change your mind.
