Great Tusk has been the number 1 most used Pokémon in competitive singles ever since the start of generation 9 and a big part of that comes from the insane role compression it can provide for a team with its defensive utility. Great Tusk can act as a great blanket check to most physical attackers, a stealth rock setter, a hazard remover with rapid spin, force progress with knock off and be a great electric immunity. While this has been a big part of what makes Great Tusk so good, its also an amazing Pokémon offensively with its great offensive profile in ground/fighting, good offensive stats and great moves with headlong rush and close combat. Offensive Great Tusk has been solid for a while, but since the release of Pokémon Home a new offensive set has risen up a lot in popularity and this is actually a sweeper set.
