In this video, I take a piece of beautiful Kentucky Hornstone and see just how thin I can make it through pressure flaking and percussion flaking. The stone was already a biface when I started, but the goal was to push it further and create a thin blade without breaking it.
Kentucky Hornstone is known for its glassy texture and excellent flaking qualities, making it one of my favorite materials to work with. Every flake matters when you're thinning a blade, and one mistake can end the project instantly.
