In this video, I take on a challenge I wasn’t sure would even work—trying to reduce a massive 10+ inch slab of Dover chert into a usable biface. This piece was gifted to me, and I wanted to see just how far I could push it without losing the whole rock.

Large material like this can be unpredictable, and every strike matters. What started as a simple idea turned into one of the tougher knapping sessions I’ve had in a while.
