In this video, I explain what the Great American Outdoors Act is, how it works, and how it will transform the United States' system of public lands and protected areas.
For decades now, public lands infrastructure in the United States has been underfunded and unsupported. But the Great American Outdoors Act, hailed as the greatest piece of conservation legislation in a generation, will provide that much needed and long overdue funding. America's National Parks, National Forests, National Wildlife Refuge's, and other crucial public lands will benefit tremendously from more than $9 billion in federal funding over the course of the next 5 years.
It's only the beginning, but the Great American Outdoors Act is a tremendous first step in helping to protect our National Parks and other public lands so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
