The international organization, which launched in the early '00s, hosts intimate concerts around the world in places like living rooms, office buildings, and more. Sofar, which takes care of things like venue booking and promotion, allows local musicians to focus on sharing their art without worrying about logistics.
In 2014, Sofar set up shop in Denver and has hosted more than 100 shows this year alone. Lauren Frihauf, a regular in the Sofar Denver scene, is one of many local artists who benefits from Sofar's presence in the Mile High City.
“Sofar is an amazing way to try out new material and meet other performers,” Frihauf said.
