Regularly and methodically checking your facility is key to noticing problems, maintenance, and keeping up with good practices!

But what does that look like? Dr. Nate explains what it means to check up on your farm.

Walk into the facility and use your senses. The most important sense here is smell. If your heating pipes have burst you’ll be able to smell the glycol. If a fish has died, you’ll smell it. If you have humidity built up, you’ll be able to sense it.

“Can’t I just check on my phone?”

Notifications are a great tool that we actually recommend, but they can’t replace your eyes, ears, and nose. Checking in person is necessary.
