*VIDEO SUMMARY*
In this video, I break down how much YouTube has paid me for 12 million views, which I've collected over 4 self-haircut videos.
GOOGLE ADSENSE
For those who don't know, Google Adsense is YouTube's advertising program. Every time you see an ad on a YouTube video, YouTube pays the creator of that video, assuming they meet the requirements of the YouTube Partnership Program, a certain amount of ad revenue. Generally speaking, the more views a video gets, the more chances ads can be shown, and the more ad revenue the creator of the video earns.
Bringing together my 4 self-haircut videos, I earned a total of $7,755.42 in ad revenue.
LICENSING FEES
YouTube reached out to me to license my self-haircut tutorial video, which is basically getting permission from me to use it.
There are contracts in place so I can't share with you what YouTube paid me, but what I can share is that my standard licensing fee is in the 4 digits.
BRAND SPONSORSHIPS
Out of my 4 self-haircut videos, one of them had a brand sponsorship integration from Skillshare.
Again, I can't disclose the exact amount that I earned because of contracts, but I can say that my standard brand sponsorship fee is in the 4 digits.
AFFILIATE MARKETING
Affiliate marketing involves referring a product or service, and being paid a commission every time a purchase or sign-up is generated from your referral. On YouTube, you often see this as affiliate links in the description of YouTube videos, where if you use that link, the YouTube creator earns a commission from it.
Taking a look at my Amazon Associates account, I have earned $3,859.77.
NFT
NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, are the talk of the town in the crypto world right now, and are a cryptographic token that represents something unique. It is essentially a one-of-a-kind, digital collectible. Just like there are unique physical assets, like the Mona Lisa, NFTs are unique digital assets, like a digital photo of Nyan Cat, or a digital video from the artist Beeple, that can be authenticated by the blockchain.
TIKTOK
Although I haven't earned money from my self-haircut video on TikTok, I give sole credit to the video for kickstarting my TikTok, and now, TikTok is another revenue stream for my brand.
I wanted to bring this up because sometimes, revenue comes in the form of opportunities. Opportunities that you can act on to generate revenue.
