I love using the Billy Bookshelves from IKEA in my yarn shop for storing yarns as well as supplies.
I used to use them in my craft room too (though I've switched to a different IKEA shelf) and I loved how well my WIP bins would fit or bins with smaller supplies, like foam balls, stuffing and pillow forms.
They are super easy to assemble! I actually opened the first box and then realized I didn't have any tools, but I popped over to Dollar General and I found a hammer and a screw driver set that had both the flat head and Phillips head.
The full lining for the back is a must, so the yarn doesn't fall through to the floor on the back side when it's being shopped - or even just at home in the craft room.
The shelves are adjustable, which is especially great when you have some large balls of yarn, like the Lion Brand Pound of Love that we carry, or taller books.
I ended up returning the full size shelves as they were just too big and heavy, but the half size shelves are the perfect size to fit all of the yarn and supplies really well and still be easily moved around by one person. I have more on my wish list!
