Welcome back to MonroeWorld! Taking a quick break from our usual Steam Controller coverage, we’re diving deep into some serious Commodore 64 nostalgia. I recently picked up a batch of original C64 software cassettes off eBay, including a very special, self-published Access Software release of the classic Beach-Head—with no U.S. Gold or Americana distribution logos in sight!

Even crazier? These specific tape dumps don't seem to exist in any of the major digital archives. So, I spent the afternoon cleaning the tape heads and using the Commodore 64 Ultimate to capture pristine .tap files of all three games to preserve them for everyone.

Join me as we test these 40-year-old magnetic media tapes, check out some incredibly retro warranty cards, and find out if Beach-Head actually has the legendary 22.5-minute load time I remembered!

🔗 Get the Digital Backups:
Download the .tap files for Beach-Head, Sargon II, and Cribbage on the Internet Archive: archive.org/details/20260513-190334

(Note: To run Sargon II, remember to use the command SYS12288 after loading!)

If you want to see a full, dedicated tutorial on how to rip your own physical cassettes to digital using the C64 Ultimate, let me know in the comments!

👍 Please Like, Subscribe, and "Hype" the video if you have the points to spare!
