🌍🏥 Climate change, disasters, and migration are deeply connected — and health systems must be ready.
Across Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, a joint UN programme is already delivering results by strengthening migrant-inclusive health systems through a single, coordinated approach.
Supported by the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund, the programme brings together climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, health, and human mobility — with UNDRR providing the risk-informed foundation.
What makes this work different?
✔️ Multi-hazard risk assessments and climate-mobility analysis
✔️ Disaster resilience scorecards to guide local action
✔️ Evidence-based planning that identifies who is most at risk
✔️ Strong links between local health action and national DRR strategies
In Iraq, this approach extends to national risk governance, supporting a national DRR platform and strategy that connects health, climate, and mobility priorities.
The programme also builds capacity and awareness:
