I've been seeing a lot of questions recently around how many gifts or how gifts are given over Hanukkah.
Since all families are different, I wanted to share how we are giving gifts to our daughters this year (ages 2 and almost-5), and ways that you can make the most of Hanukkah without spending a fortune on gift purchases.
My tips for Hanukkah gifting are:
1) Buy Secondhand or Discounted Toys (I've even been known to wrap up hand me downs or toys from my own childhood for my kids)
2) Spread out Gifts that you know others will be giving, so that those gifts can be used for one or more nights' "gift"
3) Gift your time or experiences over physical items
What tips do you have to share with me? Do you have theme nights or one big gift and many small ones? Do you not give hanukkah gifts at all? Or do you gift the gift of gelt-only?
