When you feel like you have only odds and ends, and nothing really proper to serve for dinner, consider putting everything out on plates or on one big arranged platter for either "salad bar night" or a "composed salad" - for tonight's menu, we picked some kale from the yard, combined with some steamed quinoa, and I offered sliced oranges, a sliced tomato and onion, a can of garbanzo beans, and we were in business!
