Happy New Year everyone!
I have been doing this for the past few years - to shoot a roll of film on the first day of the year. Well it used to be done on the last day of the year but I was usually working on 31 Dec so I change it to be the first day of the year instead.
The idea is to shoot a roll of film (any format as long as it is a roll) with the 24hrs of 1st Jan. If shooting on sheet film, it will be 4 sheets of 4x5 or 2 sheets of 8x10. Usually I will get some other photographers to join in the fun.
This year shoot was challenging as it was raining throughout the day in Singapore. In fact, the rain continued into the 2 Jan. I tried to find pocket of times when the rain slowed down to a drizzle. I wore a raincoat and stood strategically under shelter to steal a few shots now and then.
