Inside you’ll find maps, tokens, dice, and a streamlined system that makes it easy for new players to jump in. I go through what’s included, share my first impressions, and give my thoughts on how well this box works as an entry point to solo Play D&D and just a value in general
In the second half of the video, I explore whether the set can be adapted for solo play. I draw on the 5e module Once We Were Gods by Tim Roberts as a supplement for solo mechanics, and also touch on tools like the Game Master’s Apprentice and Mythic as possible add-ons. I have mixed feelings on once we were gods as a standalone thing I think it is pretty helpful/Useful for giving at least some solo structure without overwhelming, if you want to check it out looks like there's a few copies left at Noble Knight: nobleknight.com/P/2148293547/Once-We-Were-Gods/?awid=1506
This is an interesting box set and even if you're not a fan of DND you should check it out there's a lot to like here and I try to not let the haterade flow too freely
If you stay on the video long enough you'll see the real reason why I got this… Let's be honest, I wasn't actually going to run to the store for the starter set but I do think it was a pretty great deal for what I need for the other borderlines game that I actually wanna play lol made me think about doing a video unlike the best games take stuff from to play other games

It is hard to convince me otherwise, though it is not popular to say these days that you must open yourself up to other ideas and strange experiences to know what you truly believe in too many things are overdetermined and the lines too clearly drawn it is helpful to step across the lines that we create in our head and see if there is something better on the other side (or at least good enough).
