Today we’re looking at a group of solo board and card games that all owe something to the roll-and-write tradition/genre. These games mix randomness and decision-making to generate their own stories, and while they don't take themselves too seriously, they are often accidental works of art. We'll take a look at two of those to start the video, and then cover a group of solo titles that range from small, portable dungeon crawls to larger narrative adventures, but all share a sense of procedural generation and replayability. They’re a little different from the usual TTRPG fare on this channel, a bit more contained, more tactical, more...stuff. Definitely not always something I want to play, but when I do these are some of the games that I either love to play or would love to get to know how to play (some more)(as in more often)
