We’re interviewing key players in the new economy, to:
a) bring their work to a wider audience
b) try to find ways to co-ordinate their efforts
c) stimulate debate d) help to grow the new economy.
By new economy, we mean an economy whose component parts are democratic and non-extractive, rather than undemocratic and extractive.
Here, Dave Darby of Lowimpact.org chats with Cath Muller of Radical Routes.

Highlights:
1. By sharing, we can live much more fulfilling and 'rich' lives without using more resources.
2. Some places, like Catalonia, are full of co-ops and the co-operative spirit. Their political centre is far more radical than our political centre, so things that feel very radical over here are pretty commonplace there.
3. It's possible to hitch-hike across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands, on private sailing boats, if you're willing to cook, clean, keep watch and steer.
