When money was extremely tight, I still made my home beautiful. Not because I had a secret or because I got lucky. Because I got CREATIVE.

I would go to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores and find pieces that had good bones and then make them my own. I would spray paint them, refinish them, reupholster them and honestly there was something so emotionally satisfying about bringing that piece home and transforming it into something beautiful with my own two hands. It filled my home AND my heart.

Here is what I know after doing this for 30 years. You do not need a big budget to have a beautiful home. You need a little creativity, a little time and the CONFIDENCE to just go for it. That confidence comes from understanding design principles and that is exactly what I teach in The Seasoned Home, my brand new course launching this September. Get on the early bird waitlist now at RebeccaRobeson.com so you are first to know when doors open. 🏡

So tell me, have you ever upcycled or refinished a piece for your home? I want to hear about it in the comments
