Rhonda Ortiz came from a Christian background, but didn't think much about the idea of the Communion of Saints. In college, when she witnessed a Catholic friend's simple love of St. Joseph for his care of Jesus and Mary, it touched something in her heart and helped open her up to the deeper reality of what it means to be part of the family of God.
