In this episode of Rice Farming TV I will determine how healthy my rice plants are. A Color Leaf Chart will help me decide if I need to apply additional fertilizer to my rice fields. The optimal fertilization of rice is important because in not only insures the overall health of the plant but it will also help achieve a maximum yield.

The color leaf chart is a tool used throughout California rice production by many different rice farmers.
