In today's tractor video we're out in the rice fields building up our levees. The old Case IH 7240, built in 1995, is the star of the fieldwork action. It's been on our rice farm for many years. It has 10,000 hours on the engine.
In order to build up our levees we hook a special implement up to our tractor. It's called a "ridger". It's two sets of five disc blades that form an upside-down "v". We straddle the levee with the tractor and ridger, till the soil and build back up the levee. Cool right!
