Grants Pass TV Repair | How far can a permanent magnets field be detected? @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 8 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
Have you ever wondered how far the field from a permanent magnet can be detected? I set up a simple experiment with my Oscilloscope and a coil which had over 11 miles of fine wire on it to see how sensitive it would be at detecting magnetic fields. While I was able to pick up the magnetic field up to 50 feet away, I have no doubt the magnetic field must go far beyond what my simple detector was able to pick up.
