How do your eyes really work? What exactly are they doing to light, and how do glasses and contacts truly help you see better?
Let me show you! Here, I use a series of simple hand drawings to break down these seemingly-complex concepts. I may not be the greatest artist in the world, but I'm an optical engineer who studied how light works and has been working with light-based technologies for the last decade.

1:12 - Nearsightedness/myopia
1:52 - How glasses fix nearsightedness
2:30 - Farsightedness/hyperopia
2:54 - How glasses fix farsightedness

4:37 - Double vision and prism glasses
This is a new format for me, and I'm curious to see if these hand drawings are a good way to teach these concepts.
