Hey Everyone!

This video covers the basics of liquid rocket engines and how the combustion process works. Liquid rocket engines are typically a fuel and an oxidizer which mix together in a combustion chamber, before entering the nozzle where it is accelerated to supersonic speeds. This video covers the following topics:

1) Combustion Cycles - Pressure Fed, Gas-Generator, Staged Combustion
2) Architecture of a liquid engine - turbopump, injector, combustion chamber, nozzle, regenerative cooling
3) Combustion Instabilities (slosh, vibration) in liquid engines (brief)
4) Atomization - What it is and why it is so important
