How do candles lower air pressure?!? Let's find out and bust some myths while we are at it. Have you ever seen a candle burning inside a sealed container? If there is water surrounding the container, the water level rises as the candle consumes the available oxygen! But there are a lot of different factors going into this amazing science experiment.
