Why is it so hard to diagnose Lyme Disease? It can take up to 2 weeks before blood tests will pick it up, lyme disease symptoms are all common to other illnesses, and the "typical" bulls eye rash is actually only in a minority of cases! Lymes is carried by the black leg tick, (deer tick) and the best way to avoid it is simply to not be bitten by a tick!
