In this video I explain how a fuse works in a very simple and easy to follow way.

Fuses are like soldiers at the border of a circuit. Their job is to stop too much electricity from getting in and damaging your equipment.

Inside every fuse there is a very thin metal wire. When too much electricity tries to pass through, that wire burns and cuts off the circuit.

One common cause of this is a short circuit, which is simply two wires touching each other. The electricity can spike to dangerous levels in less than a second.

But the fuse catches it right at the border and stops it. All you need to do after is replace the old fuse with a new one.
