Legendary singer, songwriter and activist Dolly Parton has died at 80 years old.

In this 2019 interview, she sits down with GBH’s Jared Bowen during the Boston stop of “Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol.”

Dolly Parton talked about writing, the songs she loves the best and what she considers a "hit," and why her family called her “Dolly Mama.”
