In this new series I wanna compare real amps to their modelled counterpart as well as speaker simulations to the real deal etc.
To make this possible I'll try to keep everything the same (except for the devices we're comparing of course), so in this case I'll compare the Diezel VH4 to its Axe FX model.
I wanna compare the AMP ONLY, so I take the speaker out of the equation by using the same cab and miking on both.

The Diezel amp goes into a Diezel 4x12 cab and the AxeFX "Das Metall" is being amplified through an Art SLA2 (no cab emulation from the Axe) and being fed into the same cab.
So the difference you here is the amp vs model of the amp without having the result affected by a different speaker or miking etc.

I started by setting the knobs on the Axe FX model exactly like I did on the real amp and then tweaked them slightly to get as close as possible (in this case I had to reduce gain a little bit and raise presence a bit on the axe).
No post processing
