Skin tone placement isn’t random.

For most interviews, skin should sit about 1 to 1.5 stops above middle gray — regardless of skin tone.

When you understand how to place skin intentionally in stops, exposure becomes repeatable and consistent across cameras, log profiles, and lighting conditions.
