Benjamin Wood and Derek explain how Christians topple tyranny by successive acts of love. At the national/political level, persecuted Christians flipped Cezar, the head of the Roman empire, by adopting and raising abandoned Roman "S#!T babies" (Kopros in Greek, Stercorius in Latin, meaning rubbish, garbage, s#!t).

This pattern reproduces at the individual level when we topple the tyranny of selfishness, lust, addiction, and other oppressive rulers through successive acts of virtue, in our journey of transformation; in this, we convert our individual personalities one at a time until the whole of our being is flipped from tyranny to liberty.

Benjamin also brings up an important point to ponder. We are encouraged, even mandated, to exercise empathy for the oppressed, but what about empathy for the past?
