The arrival of the Child (aka baby Yoda), the plot to crush the Child by Moff Gideon, Mando's quest to guard the Child and other critical themes are all analyzed and explained in this film essay. The deep meaning draws upon the pattern of the arrival of the Christ child, Herod's plot to kill Him, the three Kings (Magi) and Joseph's daring missions to escape and preserve the Christ child. The symbolism of the seed being sown in the soil/egg/womb, light and darkness, potential and actual, and the king integrating a kingdom are all discussed.
