I'm so glad you've joined me for another video to the Lets Talk About Butt Stuff playlist. Today is focusing on a Bad Day w/ Crohn's Disease Vlog.
This is a video that was based on a suggestion from a viewer that I show what life is like for me once in a while on a bad day. Instead of my usually outlined, edited, and more slick content, an unvarnished look at a rough day. So here it is. I'm not a chronic illness vlogger but I want to share my experience with those that it might help.
Currently I am battling my insurance company for monthly Remicade infusions. At this time they've denied my claim again, which means another several months of fights to try and get the monthly treatments I require. That means no remission likely until the fall. This video is my raw reaction to that fact.
In March of 2020, after 6 months to a year of pain and misdiagnosis I was properly diagnosed with complex perianal Crohn's disease. This was the result of two anal fistulas. One year ago I went into the infusion center for my first Remicade (infliximab) treatment. I credit that drug with helping me get closer and closer to remission.
I hope the last tip in this chronic illness vlog gives you all some positive motivation for you on your path to your best self. While I'm not only a chronic illness YouTuber, I dedicate a good deal of my content to issues impacting those with Crohn's pain or flare ups.
Expect videos in this series on the surgeries I've had, my experience with colonoscopies, MRIs, going to battle with insurance over Remicade infusions, and my experiences with immunosuppressants and other treatments.
