AI brings scientific breakthroughs but also poses big questions.

AI is already transforming medicine. It is helping doctors diagnose diseases earlier, it supports complex medical decisions and even accelerates discoveries.

With all these rapid developments, we need to ensure that the tools we’re using are only effective but also transparent and accountable.

That’s exactly what *Valentin Comte* and his colleagues in the Digital Health team at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission are exploring.

Their insights help the EU better understand and regulate AI applications in science and medicine.
