Queen conch aren't like other snails. Instead of crawling around on mucus trails, they hop — and Shedd experts are studying this peculiar behavior to better understand how to protect them. Their new research has found that protecting just 330 meters of space around conch breeding aggregations could make an enormous difference for the survival of their species.
